Hyde StreamStay II Question

Does anyone have a Hyde StreamStay II roller furler from the 80's? We took our furler down for transport and now cannot find the toggle that connects the bracket at the bottom of the roller drum to the bow connection. I have tried Rig Rite and a couple of other sources with no success. If anyone has any information or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I have attached a pic to highlight the connector that I am missing. The connection point on the bottom of the drum is a T shaped piece and we cannot seem to unscrew the T shaped piece from the drum, it unscrews partially but then it stops prior to be able to remove the T shaped bracket so we could place a double jaw toggle on it. Thanks everyone in advance for any information. Kevin

Kevin. Yours is the first HydeStream I have seen. Is it possible to get more images of the unit. We may be able to help you decode the access.

RigRite has data on the unit. Stated on there site “the unit is no longer being manufactured “. Good news is there are still some parts available.
What caught my eye was this statement “A conventional wire forestay with a threaded stud on the lower end fits inside the luff extrusions.”

On conventional furlers the luff extrusion is designed to slide over the forestay.

Have you tried freeing the entire forestay from the resting it appears to be on the supported mast, and with the extrusions free, try sliding the whole extrusion up the forestay?

Some times even a slight bend or pinch of the extrusion will bind on the forestay.

Js, I will get you some more pics this week. The roller furler appears to actually replace the factory fore stay. I will send further pics as soon as I can
And thanks

More pics that I took yesterday of the Hyde StreamStay II rollerfurler connection point. Still looking for the connection piece that will secure it to the bow.

In image 3926 You show a “Threaded T with a Toggle “

When assembled it looks like this.

The toggle fitting (the lower portion) is shown on the deck.

If you can not find the toggle or the toggle you have had any pitting beyond the bit I’d rust, take the T to a good chandler and they should be able it find or order a SS toggle for you. There appears to be some rust on the inside of the toggle. Be sure there are no cracks hiding on the inside of the toggle.

You also need a pin of the proper size to hold the toggle to the deck fitting (hard point). I could not see the deck fitting in your images.

Your thread T looks service able. I’d clean off the surface rust an do a little polish of the surface. Will lengthen the life of the stainless.

The toggle part of that is in the same pictures sitting on the deck, and it's a left hand thread on the stud. So, did you just take the pics or are those from before? The only thing I don't see in the pics is the pin that goes through that toggle and the stem fitting, but that should be easy to acquire if you can't find the OE one.
And I agree with JS: clean and polish that SS and look very close for any cracking.

Thanks for the information and yes that is the toggle sitting on the deck, the issue is the threaded T will NOT unscrew fully to allow the toggle to be placed on the threaded T. I may be missing something either physically or at least mentally about how this T unit attaches to the toggle. It will unscrew to a point and then it will just stop and not fully detach from the bottom of the roller drum. My email is Kevin_Wetherbee@yahoo.com if anyone has any additional information and if possible when it is convenient, maybe we could connect via chat or phone to delve deeper into my conundrum LOL
