While traveling through Plum Gut, NY I heard a tremendous bang in my engine compartment and the engine of my Catalina 30 (universal m18) suddenly died. A few minutes later I started it up again and off I went.
I now see that when I engage forward gear, the transmission hesitates and I have to play with it. Getting into neutral and reverse is ok.
I did remove the pin from the gear shift lever and may have replaced it in the lower hole. Could this be the reason for the trouble or I am seeing the end of a transmission?
