Anyone tell me some tips on preparing the mac 26x for a hurricane. Include the category of storm your boat and u experienced. I will have my boat in my driveway in the event a hurricane hits. do u think it will with stand category 4 without moving or tumbling. I guess with ballast and trailer-----the boat weighs about 2tons. Anyone help??? thanx mike

Hurricane damage unpredictable

I've been through 5 hurricanes in my life from category 4 on down. Take all the precuations you can, but in the end it's all luck. Whether you get the worst part of the storm, whether a random tornado nails you, ...etc. You might try using mobile home tie-downs in addition to filling the ballast tank as long as you're sure you won't be flooded by the storm surge or torrential rains. Your main problem then will be flying debris. Your best bet would be to haul the boat (filled with your favorite possessions) farther inland if a really bad storm is approaching. Good luck!
