Just got back from weekend race aboard the Henderson 30 sailboat, the boat glenn henderson designed (He is the designer of the 356 BTW) we should be proud to have him aboard, we blew away all the J-Boats 22 thru 105s on the course this is one fast boat! So we should feel very proud of our hunter line :) John Dorsett S/V Alcyone

I agree

I agree wholehartedly. We own a 2001 340 which has been replaced by the new 356. We had planned on moving up to a new H410 early next year but had the opportunity to see the prototype 426 Deck Salon in August. It's supposedly the first boat that they let Glenn completely alone on the hull design. I've talked with two folks who have had the opportunity to sail the boat and they both report the boat sails like a racer....but also one of the easiest to control. Most of this is due to the hull design. Another item worth mentioning is the effort put into upgrading just about everything on these new boats, from hardware to fit-and-finish to convenience in design. They really appear to be on a roll and pulling out ahead of the competition. We take delivery of our new boat in Spring of '03 and can't wait. it's going to be a long summer.!!!

Glad to hear this!! owner hull #1 426

I bought hull number one of the 426. Fell in love at first sight - didn't get a chance to sail it - but thought it looked like a thoughbred. Hope it sales as good as it looks. Let you know next July.

Ed, I'd like to be in touch...

Ed, I'd like to stay in touch and compare notes on your decision top buy the 426. We take delivery of ours in March '03 and we're told we will be around hull #10. Ours is the Deck Salon model. I I assume you're a Aft Cockpit. Please feel free to contact me directly at: frank@qg.com Hope to hear from you.

426

We also own a 2001 Hunter 340 but fell in love with the new 426 at the Annapolis Boat Show. We liked the regular aft cockpit version of the 426 over the Deck Saloon model (it had a more streamlined appearance). We also got to meet Glenn Henderson at the show. Anyway, our new 426 will be ready in Spring of '03 - can't wait. Dave & Iwona S/V Wet Nurse

426AC is a beauty also

Dave... We looked at the aft cockpit boat at the show also. I was aware of it's existence but I believe Annapolis was it's first "public" showing. It too is a beauty. We particularily liked the pullman forward berth arrangement. Since 90% of the time there's only two of us on the boat we didn't mind giving up the forward shower stall for the additional room in the berth. Seemed to have a lot more cabinet/drawer space available compared to the standard vee berth. We've changed our order to the pullman layout. We decided upon the Deck Salon because of the large amount of light let in by the huge windows. Personal preferences. The AC is beautiful too. We also take a March '03 delivery. Be interesting to keep in touch and compare notes. We've loaded ours up with a LOT of options and are having a dealer-installed Leisure Furl in-boom mainsail furler. I want to be able to single-hand this boat. You can contact me directly at; frank@qg.com
