Re: Memory Foam

Do you use sheets or that sleeping system that is offered? I need to find the easiest, but also want it to be nice for our guests...

We bought two flat king sized sheets for the v-berth in our 356. They work well, just the right size. I was going to turn them into fitted sheets but never got around to it, maybe some day. We top it with a small quilt a friend made that has a sailboat design.

I made a my set using a king-size set. I cut a mattress pad the size of the v berth cushions, then after cutting and refitting the elastic fitted sheet, I sewed the pad to the underside of the sheet. For the top sheet, I used the flat sheet and made the bottom 1/3 shaped like an over-sized funnel and left the top 2/3 flat. I slide the funneled part under the cushions to hold the top sheet from coming untucked and because it's over-sized I have plenty of "foot room". This set-up is very comfortable, easy to put in place and the best part is that it stays in place.
