hunter27 bow plate

looking for help, my 1976 h-27 has a metal bow plate which the fore stay attaches and two cleets where the chocks would normally be, right on the edge. there is nothing to guide and protect my anchor line, there is a short flat piece welded on the starboard side with a slight semi-cicle at the end, about 3 inchs long or so. is this a bracket for a anchor guide of sorts? thanks

Bow plate

Sounds like a scap job. I would find another 27, bring my tape measure and angle guage, with plans to give a fabricator a reasonably good full sized drawing of what I needed. Hope this helps. Regards, Jim
