I have a brand new Hunter TheEdge 27 motorsailer. I am testing all the lights and have noticed that when the switch is on "anchor light" the entire light up top is brightly lit from all sides. When the same switch is pressed on the other side, its a 3 position rocker switch, on "masthead" light only the back side is brightly lit and the front is a dull glow. Is the switch reversed? Is a bulb burned out? Any other TheEdge owners out there on this forum yet?

Sounds like it got partially wired backwards (or the fixture was installed backwards). The masthead position should cause the front bulb to light. I'd guess you would always see a dull glow from light "leaking" through the fixture onto the side that is not illuminated, but maybe others on the forum could add some more insight.

I had a similar issue with my 260 when I got it. It was a miss-wire from the factory. The wrong wire is connected to the masthead side of the switch and you need a diode to prevent the power from passing through to the aft bulb which was not on the original wiring. This link will give you the panel wiring diagram from a 2000 hunter 260 but it is likely similar to yours. http://www.ayesail.net/sailing/Hunter/ManualH260/Page56C.htm

The switch is a three position switch with center being the off position you only have three wires at plug for the mast one which is the anchor(all around light is in the wrong position at the mast plug.
Your dealer should still a have a responabilty to fix this as the boat should come with a full one yar warranty. The mast is shipped without the plug wired and may have been incorrectly wired when set up
