For those who are wondering what those clips are on the end of the swim platform are for. Worry no more.

They are to hang your fender on to...

Jim, That is also what I use the two Selden folding pad eyes on our Hunter e33 swim platform for. However, I would not put any faith in the swim platform holding the boat off a dock if the boat has any pressure on it at all. I believe there would major damage to both boat and platform.
