The Hunter Association of Puget Sound (H.A..P.S.) is holding its Summer Rendezvous in Port Townsend starting on Friday July 25 to Sunday Morning July 27. The event is being held at the Point Hudson Marina. All Hunter sailboats and their keepers are invited. There will be dingy races, hosted cocktail hour, a barbecue (bring your own food) and a salad contest. Contest will be judged on the creative use of unusual salad ingredients. On Saturday there will be seminars by Bron Toss (this is a rigged presentation) and by Cascade Diesel (blowing some smoke your way). Ray Rutledge will teach those that need to know how to hit docks and other moving obstacles with their boat. Saturday afternoon will feature a boat race for some and socializing for others. A buffet dinner in the clubhouse will follow with the lonely sounds of the pipes for dessert. Sunday morn with a Getaway Breakfast on the docks (pastries and coffee), bring your own cup. This may be the hardest activity to attend as there is a Jazz Festival in Port Townsend the evening before. Right!
