anyone heard of this? Saw an ad in the classifieds...'83 Hunter Quest, 33' sloop, 13hp diesel...yada yada yada. They didn't make a 33 in 83 did they??

An owner finished kit

In the early 80's Hunter sold these boats in three/four separate kits. the first kit was the hull and deck, the second was the engine, deck hardware and the final kit was the sail package. I beleive that they had a 33 and a 36/37. The idea was for the owner to build the boat in three or four stages. Hope this answer your question.........Matias

My 33

My 33, serial numbered and registered as a 1983, appears to be the last of the Hunter built 33's. Serial number 591, it would be the 491'st built. I have seen advertising for several Hunter 33's listed as later years, but on looking at the pictures connected with the ads they all have different, owner designed and built interiors.
