Hello. Looking for thoughts on thrusters for the Passage 420. With a full enclosure on a high center cockpit, windage docking is substantially. Traditional bow thruster not viable with forward head liner. Intrigued by jet thrusters that utilize a central pump and only require plumbing and the jet outlets. The system built by Holland Marine draws over 700 amps, which is a lot of draw down on the batteries. That and the videos showing mediocre thrust leaves us wondering if a more robust system could be AC run off the generator.

I am not sure who told you "Traditional bow thruster not viable with forward head liner" but I have one in my 420.
Mine is positioned directly under the forward head. I am working on it right now as a mater of fact. I have a sidewinder and made a enclosure around the thruster out of aluminum which the head sits elevated 6 inches above. I will take pics next time I am down.

See if Marlow Hunter has an "SOP" for the installation of the bow thruster in your model boat. I just installed a Lewmar thruster in my 41DS and the instructions from Hunter were invaluable. I would recommend following the instructions from Hunter as the installation can be tight and you can have confidence that the installation will work properly.

Which model Lewmar did you install? Your 41 is the same hull, apparrently, as the 420cc. Online, the location of the toilet is not obvious on the 41. Is it off to one side or centered right up in the V, like the 420? Thanks!
