Anybody have the dimensions of the original forward water tank? It holds 75 gal. It's aluminum. Have to replace it.

Douglas, I do not, but I am sure another P42 owner will.

Again, we as owners, do not have documentation and it totally amazes me still that Hunter cannot provide an online manual for our boats, but can for I think every other model.

Just venting.

just checked that archive and both water tank drawings are there, and they look to match what I had on my 1991. The aft dimension on the vberth tank matches what I measured, and the shape is what I expect.

thanks for the post

P42 forward water tank replacement

I need to replace the forward water tank on my P42 as well. Any ideas on how to get one inside the boat? The flexible ones on the market that fit inside that space just don't have enough capacity to make it worth it.

I can easily cut up the old one to remove it, but how do you get a new one inside the boat??????

Cheers,
Paul

Excuse me for butting in here, but could you have two made which together would fit in the bad tank's space? I had to do that for a holding tank for a previous boat, although the siamesing of the tanks could have been problematic. Wasn't though. I would think twin water tanks would be a possible solution.

Rick,
Thanks for the idea! I never would have thought of that, and it opens a lot more possibilities to work with.
Cheers,
Paul
