What does this mean for those of us who own a Hunter? You would think we would be notified by Hunter instead I picked this acquisition news off of TWITTER.

I think we will receive some kind of official notification once the details have been worked out. I am sure there will an injection of money so that Hunter can hire extra staff. My new boat was delayed by close to 3 months because of this. She is expected to arrive at the dealer within the hour. I am here patiently waiting.

The deal was approved by the court this week but the sale isn't closed yet. Hunter can't really announce anything publicly until the sale is closed, but media, they have access to the court records. As we all know, they'll print news no matter what stage it's in.

I'm sure we'll be hearing from Hunter as soon as it's proper for them to make a statement.

Just hope they don't move the Hunter boat building operation to China where the Marlow yachts are built.

Marlow is a well built boat, and their factory is quite a technological item....far more advanced than what is here...by any builder. You might research it.

KD3PC,

I did check out the Marlow website and did a little research on the web..like you state..they are a well respected builder...just hate to see more American jobs go to China. Maybe Marlow can make Hunters' facillities in America a mirror of the Marlow facility in China. Sounds like Marlow is a stickler for QA so may be a good thing for Hunters' reputation in the future.

Dave Marlow recently posted some info, and I am sure more will be forthcoming. He did mention that they want to bring some of the processes and QA stuff that works so well to Alachua and that they did sign a lease to keep the FL plant on line.

I am confident that this is a good thing for Hunter, as well.

thanks for the reply
