Has anyone bought a mainsail cover for their Hunter from this sight? The price for my H27 is attractive, but not sure of the quality.

I have had one for five years or so. Quality is fine; good materials and stitching.

I'll let others speak to the quality, but I can tell you that the price is low because of a very streamlined production process. The patterns are on CAD software, the cutting is automated, they are then stitched by a craftsman with a sewing machine. The materials are the same or better than you'll find elsewhere, but the savings is in the time required to produce one.

Quality is the same or better than many canvas shops. I have purchase 2 of them. One for my Hunter 31 and another for my Hunter Vision36. The one on the H'31 is still going good. I see it every time I am at my new boat, it is probably 7-8 years old. The one for my HV'36 is going on 5 years.

They also made my wheel cover. A nice feature is that they can also do some custom stuff if needed.

I bought a mainsail cover from SBO for my H28.5 a few years ago and thought the quality of materials and workmanship was pretty good. Having said that, I don't care for the zipper closure in front (seems very hard to zip most times) or the fact that the plastic snap/buckles under the cover are not adjustable.

The "newbie" asks what is "this site"? Do you mean from the Hunter Owner's site? Whichever site it is do they also offer dodgers for a 42 Passage?

Hi Warren, we can offer the cover with twist locks on the front of the mast if you prefer, no additional charge. I would like to see an adjustable webbing closure too, but more moving parts I suppose. You can opt for a tighter closure with twist stainless locks for areas with bird or bee problems, $20 additional.

We no longer offer dodgers, the installation just proved too tricky for the average customer. We do still offer nice biminis for about half of the cost of someone coming down to your boat.
