Hello all, I have an Edson Marine Radial Drive, 800-8. The rudder stop was mounted under the drive, opposite what is shown here: Radial Drive Wheel
Last season, my rudder stop broke off and I'm replacing it now before the season starts. I only saw one option on the Edison site for a stop, it's this one: 2" Vertical Rudder Stop (862-2)
I purchased it and I'm starting to take the old one off that's mounted underneath. I'm noticing I only have 1" 1/2 inches of clearance below the radial drive to mount the new 2" 3/8 inch stop, obviously not going to work. What has everyone else done in this situation?
