I need to replace my jib sail on my 1993 Hunter 33.5. What would you recommend?

All Purpose Genoa Size

Greg, For most boats like yours a 135% genoa would be the best all-around choice. This is a medium-sized genoa that will perform well in the widest wind range. Boats with roller furlers can reef a headsail of this size down to about a 110% size, especially if the sail has a luff pad which keeps it flat as it is reefed, If you sail in mostly windy conditions such as we have in San Francisco Bay in the summer you should opt for a 100% Genoa. Conversely, if your local conditions are most light air, a 150% Genoa will provide extra power. Keep in mind that the larger the overlap, more effort is required to tack the sail.
