Hi, all. I'm replacing a broken spreader bracket on my Hunter H22. I have the new bracket in place but holes do not line up for me to rivet. I'm concerned that if I drill new holes in the mast I'll weaken the mast, but I'm not sure what other options I have. Can I simply drill new holes a short distance higher on the mast and rivet the bracket in place in place or do I need to also have the current unusable holes welded shut? TIA.
