Is there such a thing as salvage boat yard for Hunter boats?? I need some parts for my '83 27' that aren't available any more.

Why does Jorge have such a goldmine over in Texas? There must be a salvage yard like that in Florida somewhere. I checked Benny's suggested yard on the web( http://www.donsmarinesalvage.net/ ) but you have to call I guess. The "Parts" link was empty.
Ed, their website is nothing to write home about but they have a rather large inventory with about 3 steel buildings and 4 trailers stocking outboards, teak woods and everything in between. The majority is for power boats but you can find a lot of stuff for sailboats. I have been many times to Sailorman in Ft Lauderdale and consider Don's Marine has more used stuff than they do. Specific parts are hard to find at any salvage yard so calling may not be a bad idea but this place is definitely worth a 2 hours walk. If you see something you like don't forget to haggle. "Well, if business was not this slow I would not let it go for that, but OK."
