Help, please, my fellow H23 owners! The fore stay let go on Hunter 23 as it weathered hurricane Charlie. Thankfully the jib halyard was attached to the bow pulpit so the rig is still standing. Now I need to have a new fore stay made up but I don't know the correct original length. Does anyone have that figure? I'm hoping to have a new one made before I drop the mast so I can do the repair and reraise in one undertaking. It should be a hoot since the boat is still in the water at it's slip. Lend me your thoughts my freinds.

Call Jean at Seco South in Clearwater, Florida and she can help you as they made your rigging initially for Hunter.

A few years ago I had to lower and raise my mast at the slip because I forgot the topping lift, back the boat into the slip and if you have room it is actually easier to do it this way than to do it on the trailer, several of the folks who dock where I do wait until they have their boats in the water to raise their masts, good luck/ Mike Bacome
