I have the manual head which from what i understand uses raw seawater to flush. Currently my head is overflowing. Holding tank is dry, switch is set on dry and it's been pumped through.
Checked every through hull but cannot find the line from where the raw seawater is pumped from. Right now it's draining into my shower and being pumped out through my sump pump.

It's quite urgent that you follow the hose bringing water to the head so you can find the through-hull and shut the valve until you have a chance to fix the problem. And you'll need to shut that valve when you fix the problem which is probably nothing more than having to replace the rubber intake seal inside the pump. Not a big issue per se, but currently could sink your boat if your shower pump failed.

Definitely agree with Claude A. The head inlet is probably close by ..under the washbasin? in the bottom of the hanging locker ? in the engine bay ?? under the bunk aft?
Sounds like you have a piece of debris stuck in the inlet line check valve of the head pump. The valve should be closed by the "dry" position on the head. You can try going to "wet" and giving it a couple of hard quick pumps.. ( I am assuming a regular manually pumped head and not an electric one) then back to "dry" and clearing the bowl .. If that doesn't work, you can cut off the flow by squeezing the inlet hose to the pump.. (Not the hose going to the bowl) Wrap the hose in a wash cloth and use vise grip type pliers to squeeze the hose. This will give you time to fix the problem before the boat sinks ! You may have to replace the hose after shutting it this way.. An alternate would be to get a tapered plug about hose size and pull the hose off the head.. At that point, you will have full water flow from outside the hull, so be prepared to get wet and be ready to put the plug into the full flowing hose.. quickly ! DO NOT leave the boat until the plug is secure 'cause if it comes out, the boat will sink quickly.. If you aren't comfortable doing this, get a boatyard guy to shut the leak off .. this kind of leak will sink your boat !

Fortunate to say that the leak subsided after trying a few of those suggestions. Switched back and forth and just kept pumping till my hands grew blisters.

On the other hand, i still cannot find where the intake line is coming from. Neither my owner manual nor my dealership knows how or where the head pulls water from. Hunter is mot replying to questions.

On the chance this happens again I'm going to continue my search. Checked everywhere accessible, the lines go under the head compartment were there is no access whatsoever.

Gregg, The head pick-up valve is just outside the head under the cabin sole at the bottom of the steps. Lift the sole and there will be 2 shut off valves. The larger to port is the sink drain and the smaller to starboard is the head intake. Both have yellow handles. Check out the diagram in your Hunter Owner's Manual "Waste System e33" Chapter 10 page 10.8 Waste System (Manual Head) for exact location of the Head Pick-up.

PS Suggest these type of issues be posted on the e33 forum also.

Good luck.

Thanks! I'll take a look there. May be replacing this head system, it's garbage.

Thru Hulls

Wow the dealer did not know?????,my 2007 has all but one thru hull under the floor bottom of the steps and the macerator one is in the port stern compartment.
I hate to say this but you need to start reading over your manual more in case of if something go's bad out on the water,I blame your dealer and when I took my boat home a day or 2 before going home part of the dealers job is to explain and go over every nook and equipment with you,it was a 4 hour explaining and checking everything
I also replaced my WC head with a Raritan II from this forum within 1 year.

Yea, I blame my dealer as well. They know nothing and were blatant crooks in my opinion. If you see my other posts you'll notice a trend, I'm on my own with any issues; dealer is worthless and hunter is bankrupt. Neither help at all.

Nonetheless, my manual has no information on my head whatsoever. This is what is so worrisome. Thankfully the issue happened at the dock where I could attend to it.

Who was your dealer?
This forum has problems with naming names. PM me and I'll be glad to discuss privately.

I got this schematic from Eddie; just had to ask for it.

FWIW, this forum does not have a problem naming names. It does have a problem with calling people crooks.
My dealership said no one at hunter responsed to them after I called and called. Eddie just emailed that to me as well. But that's all besides the point.
There is no doubt in my mind as to what has transpired with the dealership.
All I can say is attorneys were and are still involved since delivery. I was overcharged many times on after market items and had factory options swapped out for lesser quality pieces. That's all still besides the point that I never got a through briefing of any systems nor do I have any sort of service in warranty issues since commissioning. All issues I've had to handle personally with multiple manufacturers that the dealership had responsibility over.

We have our head connected to our internal water. Yes, it uses more water, but this way we aren't pullling garbage from the lake. It will also help with a cleaner toilet :)

Did you modify it to do that yourself? Easy job?

Fresh Water

I added a fresh water sprayer from the sink to next to tiolet and use that to flush when day sailing and hooked up the sink drain into intake of tiolet to flush the sea water intake for flushing that out of sea water buildup, but do use sea water in tiolet on longer trips.
More using of fresh water does help keep smells down and Raritan II really stay maintance free for me,it may sound like a lot of work but all is setup it's no work at all.
