Hunter company response

I've send two e-mails to Hunter with questions about my 1986 Hunter 40, but received no response. Has anyone had the same problem, or any ideas on how to contact Hunter?

For the past few months Hunter has working with a smaller staff and those folks have been focused on building new boats and warranty support. But parts-related questions can be directed to us here.

Questions about upgrades, improvements, tech support, et al can be posted in this forum, you'll get great support from the people here.

Be Patient

I have ben able to contact Eddie at Hunter, even with the reduced staff and new ownership. He always informes me that it may take a while to answer my questions, but he always comes through.

I have only recieved one answer EVER from thier customer support. It was for the mast lighting wire routing after it leaves the mast. I had a direct short popping the anchor light circut breaker.The answer was to look at the wiring diagram in your owners manual. As you know the owners manual wiring diagrams are block diagrams that are weak to begin with. So I only had one choice, dig in and find it, which I did.

Just saying, I've owned my Hunter for about 5 years now and have gotten nothing but excellent support from Hunter the entire time, even most recently last week. Prompt response, resolution of questions. Particularly Eddie Breene. Couldn't ask for better.

I too have have nothing but good experiences. Most recently with their reduced staff, I received an email reply on the weekend! It shows that someone (the organization) really cares!! Responses are detailed and informative. Nothing but praise from me. I would like to get down to Florida some day to tour the plant. I've been in many manufacturing plants but never a sailboat plant. Looking forward to the impact of a new owner and an infusement of capital. Hopefully give some other brands a run for their money!

We have owned 3 91 model hunters over the years. When we were looking to buy our 33.5 back in 91 the wife and I had a question about the boat. It was a Sat. night and the time was 11:30 pm in Florida. She called the Hunter factory and someone answered the phone. The guy said he didn't have the answer but would find out. He called back in about a hour with the answer.
