Attention Puget Sound Hunter Owners. Our last rendezvous at Port Orchard 4-6 May, was much fun with an emphasis on safety for the 2012 sailing season. We had twelve boats, alot of food and the kids broke a Pinata stuffed with candy.

The rendezvous schedule for this year is
15-17 June, Gig Haror
29 June -1 July Kingston
27-29 July Port Ludlow
August open
28-30 September Poulsbo

Gary of Marine Service Center fame informed me this weekend that Steve Pettengill will be a featured guest speaker at the Hunter Rendezvous this July 27-29. He is the Hunter Marine Director of Offshore sailing and testing. Some refer to him as Dr. Destructo as he will purposely, at full speed, run new boats aground as one way to test their seaworthiness. See the following article http://www.usyachts.com.au/pdf/scan0004.pdf , for a brief description of Mr Pettengill, his background and his job. I found a 30 minute interview with him on line yesterday. As I enjoyed listening to the audio I’m sure he would be just as interesting if not more so with a group the nation’s finest Hunter Owners.

This would be a great opportunity to meet one of the greats in the sailing world.
