I have a new to me H45cc, that suddenly will not accept AC power. Power is making it to the AC panel behind the dinette cushion…I can hear it humming, which stops when I cycle the shore power relay. Anyone have Any experience with this?
I did not hear a BOOM!.Guess we’ll never know…
I wonder about these ‘one-and-done’ posts particularly regarding high voltage questions whether they survived the problem or just figured out it was simple operator error they couldn’t bother trying to figure out so they waste both their and our time asking here.I did not hear a BOOM!.
But then I am currently 300 miles away.
This was not installed by Hunter.Patience friends, patience. Sorry I was off on a little cruise, and don’t have starlink. So my AC panel has a large pop out breaker labeled “shore power relay”. There is a photo of the AC panel in the owner’s manual, but in the pic this relay is not there, and there is no explanation for it. This is in addition to the shore power reset switches in the aft cabin. This boat was originally commissioned in Canada. Was this something required up there? Who knows. Anyway, I cycled this breaker (relay) once before when this happened and it restored shore power. Our marina lost power once again, and this time cycling it did not work. My guess is that it is a relay gone bad, so I am going to pull the panel and see if I can remove it, find a part number and replace it. I tried to upload a pic, but the file was too big. My initial post was to see if anyone else with this model boat had this issue.
Cheers,
Tom
