Does anyone know what bulb was used in the anchor light of the 2007 Hunter 45CC. I would like to avoid the extra trip up the mast if possible.

Any recommended maintenance while I'm up there?

Some mast lights are dual purpose - anchor and steaming lights, with two bulbs. If that's the case you DEFINITELY replace both while you're up there. In fact, any other bulbs you'll encounter on the way up (e.g. deck light) you should also consider replacing in the interest of one climb, multiple tasks completed.

When I did this with my 2009 H36 I took some photos as close up as I could get from shore and then matched those up to photos on the internet. Mine turned out to be an Aquasignal. I couldn't find any other good source that could tell me exactly what was up there, and felt better visually confirming. Fairly Easy to find the light fixture by comparing pics online, and then buying the right bulbs - AND CRITICALLY - understanding how they come apart and what tools you will need BEFORE you go up. That took some digging but it was time WELL spent.

Also, take a camera of some sort up there. You'll want lots of photos of what you have at the top of the mast, what shape its in, what brands things like antennas and windexes are, and how the top of your mast is configured with hardware and lines. Trust me, you'll be looking again later. Plus its a cool chance to take a rare opportunity to get some photos of your boat from overhead!

Good luck.

On my Hunter 38 the bulb I replaced had a bayonet fitting, but with one pin higher then the other pin, so as to ensure there is only one way the bulb is inserted. For a normal bulb, why? For a led I can see why.

The latent Engineer in me thinks that the light after 13 years really owes you nothing. Exposed 24/7 to mother nature, the plastics finally give up. Perhaps you are due a new light. It is a safety item. In the process you get to update the light to LED. I would say it is a win win.

Likely LED replacement bulb for your fixture is here: Double-Contact Indexed BAY15d 18-LED Surface Mount Cluster

Several years ago replaced all of the incandescent bulbs with LEDs on our boat. The anchor light, referenced above, was similar to the bow running light bulbs except in color; offset indexed pin, double contact. So, check out your running light bulbs to confirm that the anchor light bulb is the same except in color. The lens and fixture may still be in good condition with some cleaning. Our original 1991 remains in good condition.

Thank you Terry for you effort
My running lights use the off set bulb.

I ordered a new anchor light fixture and I have a spare off set bulb. I thought maybe a 45CC owner would remember changing the Anchor bulb. I want to change this out quickly so my friends aren't tied up all day while I'm farting about.

I changes out the bulb for the anchor light on the 2007 Hunter 44CC. I used an LED replacement. It was a two contact, offset bayonet bulb. That fixture was in excellent condition.
