Hunter Hunter Passage 456 Hudiksvall
Hi,

The fuel sender in my 456 Passage (2005), has stopped working. The signals seems to OK. I did find a new item on this site, but since I live in Sweden it will take weeks to get it here, specially during this pandemic times. And as you might now, the summer in Sweden is a nice day :) Is anyone that has any ideas how to repair it? I guess the float is inside the tube?

Henric, Hunter did not make the sender. They bought it from a sensor manufacturer. What is the part number or name on the sensor?

Could be one of a couple of designs. There could be be electrical sensors inside the tube.

Or. you could have something plugged up inside.

To go sailing, I would stick some fuel in the tank, run a stick into the tank and get a depth measurement. Compare the to the capacity of the tank and then rough calc the amount fo fuel you have. Knowing the average rate of fuel consumption (Liters per hour) you can get a rough gauge of how many hours of motoring you can do. Keep a log and just go out an enjoy the summer days. What they last about 3 weeks up there?

Fair winds and sunny Skies.

By the time you get home the new gauge will be in the post and you can install the new to you sensor.
