Hunter 44 Salon Table Does Not Fit When Dropped

Hello everyone,

We would very much like to drop our salon table to convert it into another berth but the table (even with the leaf removed) does not drop enough to create a flat surface. The edges of the table land on top of the seat creating an uneven, poorly fitted arrangement. We've had marine carpenters take a look and ended up with a bid for 6.5K to replace the table and build a top that would fit. Have any of you had this problem with the salon table? Any solutions out there? Thanks, Liz

They're all like this, Hunter designed it this way. When we've used it , we simply drop it down as far as it will go with the leaf in it then put the pad over it. It's not too bad.
