Hunter 430 upper rudder bearing

Has anyone replaced the upper rudder bearing on a Hunter 430. I am replacing mine and trying to find the proper height. The one that I removed is not the original has it has been cut with a handsaw and is uneven therefore the quadrant is rubbing on the housing and the rudder is moving up and down. Try to find info on previous post but no luck. Spoke with Tides Marine and they don't have any info on this model. I have attach a pic.
Any help would be appreciate.

Naviculas this pic may clarified. The bearing under the steering quadrant in the housing of the boat that keep the rudder shaft from moving. Have you ever change it?

No I have not been there yet ..... I am hoping the info you get will prepare me......... Have you tried calling hunter????

In Dec. Changed out my quadrant wheel due to was near cracked in half. Found later was due to the previous owner rigged the stop on the wheel causing g it to flex. Changed out wheel in slip. Checked the upper bearing great shape . When rei stalling it was inform not to over tighten the cables because it put undo force on shaft bearings. Do not remember who built the rudder, but will try to find it,have it written down because they have the bearing ,but you have to have them machined to your shaft size. Also inspect hour wheel closed for cracks. I have a extra one not machined yet.
