One of the boats I'm considering to buy is a 1991 Hunter 43 Legend. I would love to hear from similar owners what they have to say about it. What's good? What's not so good? How does it sail? Are there any things that need special attention when looking at the boat?

My interest in this specific boat is that there is the extra "crew" quarters. That makes it essentially a tri-cabin that is beneficial to me because I normally sail with all single people and it would be nice to have 3 cabins for longer trips.

With this in mind, does anyone know what years the 43 Legend had this configuration with the "crew" quarters? Any other thoughts w.r.t. to boats that might meet this need would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Hunter 430 Seattle
My wife and I almost bout a '91 legend 43. Price was a little too high at the time but has since been significantly dropped. In the interim we bought a '96 430 which we liked because of the pullman berth (vs. vberth) however I can see what is appealing about that mid ship double bunk/NAV station room. We took the '91 for a sail and it was smokin and pointin with relatively no wind. It was in awesome shape and it is still for sale. let me know if you want me to give you the contact info. Its in good condition. Seattle area. Good luck.
