Hunter 420 factory location for generator

I want to install a diesel generator in my 420, I would like pictures and information on the location and installation from Hunter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of the great advantages of buying a yacht made by a company that's still in business is that you can contact their customer service organization. Unfortunately, it seems an inordinate number of them have lost their records over the years, in fires, floods, roof-collapses, during changes of ownership, and so forth.

diesel generator in my 420

My H430 genset is installed under the forward cabin bed.
Look under yours for the available space.

Mine is a 9KW Koler.
I have seen other discussions on SBO of using a smaller Genset of 5KW in that area.

PS: That space was reserved for original brokers, to install that genset option.

The boat designer may have had a location in mind for the installation of a generator but the dealer's installer may have other practical ideas.

We just looked at a 420 for sale and the generator was installed over the engine.
