Help!! We are currently looking for our sailing trip boat and can't decide between the 410, 44 and now the 46. We know it a big gap between the 410 and 46 but our family is a growing one...we've come across a 1988 46 ft that would really suit us but I am a bit skeptical about the year. The 410 and that we are looking at range from 1995 to about 2003. Any information from current or previous owners would be GREAT!

If you have not already, take a look at the owner reviews here.

We went with the 466 because we had four children and now we have three grandchildren as well so the extra size and bunks were a plus. And as our cruising grounds involve Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands the fact that the master stateroom is forward is not a problem. We have had ours for 10 years now and enjoyed each minute with her. And I think the first 460 was marketed in 2000 not 1988. That could have been the Legend 45. All three boats you mentioned are terrific.

I believe the 410 started in 98. Prior was the 40.5. Can't speak for the other boats but we love our 410. We cruised up the east coast and back last year and will be heading to the Bahamas in two weeks. I only wish it had a shallower draft. BTW it is 5'4" not the 5' many advertise.

Yes, I totally agree. We really don't want to go any older than 1995. Early 2000's would be ideal. Our cruising ground will be the Caribbean with two girls age 6 and 8. We currently have a 33 ft sailboat so we know for sure that we want at least 40 ft. Neither my husband or I have owned a hunter and we are hoping to get some feedback from other cruising families that are sailing on a Hunter. They LOOK pretty darn comfortable for cruising. I will have to get use to the arch though...

We don't do long distance cruising on our 2005 H44 but we do cruise for a week or two each summer in New England. I would highly recommend the H44, our is the Aft Cockpit model. Boat is easy to sail, very stable and extremely comfortable. Only consideration is that with the B&R rig sailing dead downwind is not very effective but that probably applies to all 3 models that you are considering. My dock mate has a 2006 H 41DS which is also a nice boat but the H44 has considerably more space down below. I think you might want to opt for the additional space.
