I have a 2007 hunter 41. I think the vent tube is clogged as we get alot of odor after a flush. We recently emptied the tank..I have been told to clean the vent tube, add a filter...Help! It appears the tube exits on the starboard bow of boat....what is easiest way to do the above!

I had a similar problem. I thought the same. Turned out the hose split at the through hull so when I flushed the stink vented into the salon. I took the hose clamp off the vent line. Repaired the vent line with some electrical tape and put it back on the barb. And then I reattached the hose clamp. When we get back home I will replace the entire hose. In the meantime....stink gone.
