Hunter 41 DS stern locker

The starboard stern locker on my 2007 Hunter 41 DS (relatively new to me) currently contains the stern anchor and rode. The locker itself though is not sealed from the main cabin in any way, so any seawater that you bring in with the anchor and rode, or any attempt to wash off the anchor and rode in the locker, will result in all of that water finding it's way under the aft bunk and into the bilge. Has anyone modified the aft locker to be sealed off from the main cabin or add either self draining or with its own bilge pump?

I have a 2009 41DS.
Yes, both those small cockpit lockers have openings to the interior of the hull. Thankfully there are the rubber seals on the locker hatches.

At one time, I briefly considered sealing off one of them from the hull/bilge, with its own exterior drainage, for dedicated storage of assorted chemical boat maintenance type cans/jugs but abandoned the idea.

I also suffer for a readily available stern anchor storage solution. I think I am finally just going to install brackets for exterior storage on either the port or starboard bulkheads above the swim step.
