Hunter 40

I understand that the Hunter 40 has a shoal draft and a deep draft keel. Is the shoal draft keel winged? I also assume that the keel is cast iron as well as the deep draft ones.

Keel for H-40

The keel on my shoal draft 1989 H-40 is cast iron with no wing.

mines not winged

my 1988 40 has a shoal draft and it is cast iron and not winger. I is about a foot thick at the bottom and i belief it is longer than the deep keel or at least that was my experience when I had a 34. It is also heavier that the deep draft keel by 500 pounds.
