Hunter 40.5 displacment/weight.

Hi,

Going to have my 40.5 launched soon, first time since I bought it and first time in 15 years for the boat!!

Can someone tell me roughly how much they weigh! The UK registry documents say in the region of 28t. To me this seems a bit on the heavy side of things but maybe close one fully loaded with water etc... Has anyone got an accurate weight??

Specifications on Internet say 20,000 pounds

Makes sense and seems about right as my 38 comes in at slightly over 18,000 pounds.

Usually the boatlift is equipped with Scales. You could ask them to weight it. On a shorthaul with all stuff on the boat, mine was reading 23000lb. The marina told me the scales were not calibrated, but I keep as reference.
Visit Carl's sail calculator (http://www.tomdove.com/sailcalc/sailcalc.html )shows almost 1700Lb /inch, I use it for draft estimates.
