Good day gentlemen , ladies
as a non-owner of a Hunter sailboat I have a question about the galley concept in the Hunter 39.
I own a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40DS and my galley and general layout is somewhat to be compared with that from the Hunter 39.
I intend to install a grabpole , similar to the one on the Hunter.
Here's a link to the jeanneau board where you can also find some pics as a reference to what I mean.

But before drilling holes in my boat I would really like to know if that is such a good idea.
Meaning , is that pole a nuisance in any way , or are there Hunter-owners who feel that the pole is an unnecessary gadget .
I was thinking of using it as an extra support in rough weather , but also as a way of fixing shelves and all.
I would love to hear/read the comments from field experts.
Thanks already for sharing the information.
Greetings from Europe.
