HUNTER 380 cockpit lazarettes locks

Need some help form the wisdom of this place, need to add locks to the lazarettes in the cockpit of my old 380, there is different solution for that, here in SBO I could buy the push button pin system, there is two models ; short and long but I can`t find any info how to install them.

Please post photos of the two locks so the forum can advise on how tho install them.

Thanks sail sfbay for your help, but I am trying to figure which of the different systems is the solution to lock the lazarettes, in the Hunter 380 the ports lazarettes comes from factory without any . BR

What not to do.....
Something that I did on my H26 that I would warn against is using a standard hasp. I installed one on my cockpit locker and it did a fine job of locking but I would sometimes catch the back of my calf on the corner of the hasp and scratch myself.

If you go with a hasp option, get one with smooth rounded edges like these...

Personally, I don't like hasps that have a built in lock because I will lose the key. So I use combo-locks but that is a highly personal thing.

thank you rgranger for your ideas, but I`m trying to use something more like the push button pin system that is "elegant" and don`t have any risk to scratch any part of anyone, specially in the 380 that don`t have a lot of space in the cockpit for legs.....

Be mindful of lazarette locks ... I know someone who got stuck in the lazarette when the lid closed and caught on a latch. He was In there until the boatyard manager missed him. Always take you cell phone in tight places .

not possible in the 380 !! you really need to be,,,,,let say "veery short" to go inside a lazarette

Installing wheel steering on a 260 late one night, I was upside down ang got myself stuck at thigh level. It took 45 minutes to do a Houdini trick to wiggle out

On our H38 all the locks have a pull ring to open the lock from the inside. The Houdini will be to find the pull ring in the dark behind your back with your legs folded behind your neck and your arms folded.
