A neighboring boat hit my bow anchor cradle and bent it badly. Refab cost is extremely high. Does anyone know where to buy a new double anchor cradle for an H380?
Most expeditious route would be to take it off the boat and hand carry it to a machine shop and ask them to straighten it or replace broken parts. Ask them if they work a lot of stainless first.. ask for an estimate.. Good Luck
The same thing happened to me on my Hunter 380. Someone hit the forward anchor roller and bent it out of shape. Thick stuff too. But a friend of mine said he could fix it. He brought down to the docks a number of very large adjustable wrenches and some long large pipe. He attached the adjustable wrenches on the bent part and slipped the pipe over the handle of the wrench and slowly bent it back into shape. He did such a good job that I never noticed it after that.
But I still curse out the boat that hit it. Didn't leave a note or anything.
If you have the build sheet info (should be with all the owners papers and manuals) it should tell you who made it. If I remember correctly it was a welding shop in Fla. who made them for Hunter. Or call hunter they may even be able to sell you one
To further what Peter and Steve have said ...
Call Mike Thomas at Hunter parts .. 800-771-5556 ; ext 3615.
He may have one he can send you or,
he can certainly tell you who made yours and how to contact them to have another made.
