I recently purchased a 2007 Hunter 38, which has dinghy davits mounted to the arch. Appears to be a Hunter Product and Seems like a decent system, but I don't know the weight capacity of this setup. Anyone have information on this? Thanks.

If it's the Hunter 40 Series davits, installation manual says 275 lbs. Gordon Taylor carries a 10' RIb and outboard, maybe contact him for weight of those. http://forums.hunter.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?t=171324&#post1208843
As Scott says, I carry a 10' Titan aluminium bottom RIB on the Hunter 40 Davits on my 2005 38. The Titans are no longer available but the replacement would be a Highfield CL310 ://www.highfieldboats.com/boat/classic-310/ These are 110lb My 15hp 2 stroke Yanaha is 75lb for a total with gas tank of around 200lb. Have had no problems. I keep everything tightly tied to the stern rail to stop the dinghy moving around. Have had no problems. May be difficult to find a 2stroke outboard now.the 4 strokes are quite a hit heavier.
