Hunter 376 New Sails

I have received prices for a new Roller Genoa and In mast Mainsail, but I am now confused as the first company quoted for a 115% Genoa at 32 sq/m and the second for a 135% Genoa with a 42.7 sq/m area.
My yacht was manufactured in 1998 and at present still has the same standard UK sails as supplied in 1998. Both sails have stretched so they do not sail to windward as close as they should and the main does not roll in and out the mast as it should, due to the sail material having stretched.
Can anybody tell me what specification I need to give to the sail loft to be sure I get the correct sails for Cruising. I should say that my cruising area is the Mediterranean.
The quotes I have received are for 8.88 Dacron (Challenge) which I am satisfied with.

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

Two years ago I bought new sails for my 1997 h40.5 from Mack Sails in Stuart, Florida. Both were Challenge Dacron as listed below:
8.62 oz. Challenge High Aspect Premium Dacron Mainsail with Full Batten for Schaefer Furling Boom System
Genoa- Miter-Cut w Foam Luff 7.77 oz. Challenge Marblehead Premium Dacron Genoa with Sunbrella Cover and Foam Luff

I cruise only- no racing. Very happy with the sails. They were mail-ordered and recommended by my rigger. They fit perfect right out of the box with no problems whatever.
Although you didn't ask for a sail loft recommendation, I had nothing except a good experience with Mack. They have an excellent website that might answer your questions regardless from whom you purchase.

1) I have high aspect and will be getting new sails next year without it. IMHO the boat is not a good idea for high aspect. The middle of the sail where high aspect is the weakest is very baggy on my boat. I can't get the sail flat at all. The leach and foot are pulled tight but the belly is huge. The roller furling rig on the 376 has an 18 foot boom. That is too wide to be high aspect. Get a standard cruising sail.

2) your jib should be either a 105 or modified 110, not a 115 or 130. Those largers sizes will not work on a 376.

Also, 8.88 might be too thick for the furling. Mine now are 7.6 and I believe my originals were 8.4 and they barely fit. I am going back to 8.4

I would like to thank Forum Members for the very helpful replies to my question about new sails for my Hunter 376 . I should also say that I received an email from Marlow Hunter informing me that their records show the H376 had sails made by UK Sails (Hong Kong) and the RF Main was made with 9.0 oz Dimension TNF and the Genoa is 109 % made with 8.0 oz Dimension TNF.
