Hunter 376 - light bulbs on mast?

Does anyone know what light bulbs are used in the anchor light and the combination steaming+deck lights that Z Spars put on the Z Spar brand mast that Hunter used on some of their model 376?



Hunter used two different brands of mast on the 376. I searched the archives here and asked Hunter and Z Spars.


I have voltage in the wires at the base of the mast but the lights do not turn on.

The bulbs you suggest as possible, may or may not be. Different fixtures were used by the different mast makers that Hunter bought from. As you said Phil: "[FONT=verdana, arial, san-serif]...confirm the fixture you have as ... a different fixture could have been installed by the factory.". This I can not do.

I need the information from someone who has replaced them on a Z Spar mast.

It is imperative that you confirm the the make of the light fixture being used to insure a proper fit. Perhaps a photo taken with a telephoto lens can be matched online to the products catalogue of the various light fixture manufacturers. Just because you have power at the deck level does not necessarily mean it is the light bulb, it could be a wiring short to ground or a corrossion in the bulb socket. Whatever you do I suggest you change over to an LED bulb as they are brighter, use much less power and have a practically infinite useful life in boat use. Do use some dielectric grease in the socket terminals.

Allen, If you're in doubt of the correct fixture, send a iphone with the video on up the stick using the halyard.
