As posted on Towndock.net, the Hunter 37 Moondance finally makes it across the pond from Oriental, NC to Poole, England. This guy is the definition of Adventurer, or has a serious screw loose...

The screw is loose, but still holding. Hell of boat, don't you 37C guys agree? For you 37C owners, note in one of the accounts, boat was oil canned in the bow and the anchor locker pan and non-structural vee birth upper locker blew apart, so do that anchor locker modification some of us have done. Seems like the guy's biggest consequence of lightly prepared was that had no wind vane and no alternate electrical generation outside of engine, which broke down early on, drained the batts and so no wheel pilot. Probably only took the 3 working sails, no spares or sail repair gear. The flip side is probably no raft, EPIRB or SSB, so isn't going to put out anyone for a rescue. Note, his last employment was as a sailing instructer! I'll bet he is not a worrier by nature.

What a sailor!

This guy is one heck of a sailor in my opinion. I have met a few like him over the years and they are quite interesting guys. Nice that there are still a few around.

376 vrs 37C?

Just out of curiousity, which would you think is stronger of the two? I've heard some good things about the 37C. I have a 376. Just curious what others think. I can't seem to find the CE ratings on either boat.
