I haven't replaced my solar panel yet, but here is some info from my own research:
- A couple of distributors are Emarine and Aurinco. Check their websites.
- Per my measurements, the dimensions of the opening in the frame that surrounds the solar panel are 23-5/8" x 12". Measure yours to be sure.
My boat is located on the Texas coast, so lots of sunshine. However, since it is mainly used for day and weekend sails, there is shore power available to top up batteries between sails. And I question Hunter's wisdom of putting the solar panel on the deck under the boom, where it gets stepped on over time. For these reasons, I haven't put replacement of the solar panel at a high priority.
Question: Do you really need the solar panel? If not, consider removing the old panel and fitting a piece of Starboard (or equiv) in its place.
Let me know what you decide.
