I am considering the purchase of a 1982 Hunter 36 as my first sailboat. Can anyone give me their thoughts on this year/model? I will be cruising mostly in the Puget Sound. Any advice?

Hi Mark, I thought I would see some activity here. I assume you saw the H36 posting here in "Big Boats". I also saw several in the "Forum Archives" by using 36 and H36 with "exact match" checked. I didn't check the "Owner Reviews" in the "The Boats" section. Then there are the e-mail addresses in the Owners Directory. Good luck.

just bought a hunter 36vision after searching for a summer...love it but do not know how to sail it as yet...have a sailing buddy who helps some but am loving this boat and the ease. our sailing buddy is from the old school and did not like hunters because not traditional lines...has fallen in love with ours however and now wants to spend more and more time with us on the boat...I believe this boat has the right mix of space and sail...its fast and yet easyto sail. would like to talk more so e-mail me at aerntz @aol.com.....we are in kingston for the winter...and if you sail would love to take you out if you are willing to sail with amitures(sp). Looking for summer moorage...and joni and I are really into learning this so we can live aboard eventually and saaaail awaaay
