Where Hunter installed it is irrelevant....a macerator pump can be installed anywhere in the tank discharge line that makes sense. It can lift up to 4' so many boat owners opt to mount it above the top of the tank because that makes it easier to replace the impeller without a major spill. You should be seeing answers and suggestions from a number of Hunter 36 owners very shortly.

probably in the same place as the 356;down at the bottom of the tank, forward port corner. worst location I've ever seen for repair or maintenance
