There are a couple of sites with deals on them right now so I'm looking to order - I can measure the shaft size, but not the Stern Tube Diameter, and I am probably not going to haul out for a couple more months.

Does anyone with a 36 have the measurements, or does anyone have a great way to measure this in the water?

Can't help you with the tube size, but I installed one on my H33 a while ago. As long as you remember to change the parts every few years (they sell a kit) they are very reliable and trouble free (IMO)

the size and order a new one

If any of the tube is showing you can wrap a narrow piece of paper (it doesn't stretch) around it and make a pencil mark on the two overlapping parts. Measure the distance between the marks and divide by 3.14159265.

Just for reference, I have a 1" prop shaft and the stern tube bellows that fits is for 1-1/2" to 1-5/8" diameters. I'm hauling the boat on Oct 7 and will be installing a bellows maintenance kit 07-100-112R after 14 years of service. So far, so good and the dry bilge is nice.
