I sail my Hunter rather hard but not off shore and the water tank straps broke. I tend to go out in heavy weather and bang around a bit.If the broken straps can't be grabbed from the top of the tank which was my case, it is not an easy job for one person. It turned into a two man job my son and me. We used ratchet straps made for holding down motorcycles in the back bed of pick up trucks. They worked quite well I needed ten foot lengths. We had to completely disconnect the tank and then we had to lift it out to get the straps underneath. This isn't a complicated job but wrestling the tank is a two man job. I you push your boat at all I suggest you check your straps. We are going to do the diesel tank in the off season.
