I would like to replace the topping lift on my 2002 356 with Selden in-mast furling but I can only find the standard rigging specs. The standard rig in the owners manual calls for a 5/16 (8mm) line 110 feet long. When I bought the boat it didn't have the line therefore I can't measure its length. If someone could confirm the line size and length I would be very appreciative.

Thanks!:)

On my 356 the topping lift goes thru a block on the masthead and down the mast to a cleat at the bottom of the mast. That would be about 110'. So that seems reasonable. With modern cordage I'm not sure you need 5/16 but whatever. BTW the owners manual is usually accurate. The inaccuracies are usually modifications to the boat after market.

Andrew is right - the two masts are the same height but the roller furling boom is 1 ft longer, so the masthead to end of boom is slightly longer. However, the 55ft number is mast height above waterline ( the air height) so the 110 ft is plenty long
