I need to design and build a replacement salon table top for Hunter 340. Does anyone have or can share the design specs for the salon table top and cushion, if possible. The previous owner removed original table top for a poor imitation. I look forward to your response.

2000 H340: I don't know the exact dimensions but much of the table was designed to fit into a groove on the outer edges of the settee seats, when the table was lowered and configured as a bunk. Perhaps you could construct a template from those grooves. The table had a piece cut out to allow it to be fitted around the mast support and then the pice was secured back in place. My table had a storage box fitted on the under side with a lift-out cut-out on top. The table was held in place by a single strong pin that went through the mast support. There were holes for the up table position and the lowered bunk position. There was a drop board on the starboard side to extend the table. The table top was some sort of laminate with a high gloss finish,

I just happen to have here at home the small piece of table top that John T just described to you. You didn’t say what year 340 you have, but I also have a 2000 340 as John is showing you.
My friends 1997 340 had just a slightly different table top on his. Just enough of a difference that the two were not interchangeable. But his had a great pulley system incorporated into the table to ease the raising and lowering. That table is heavy!
So all that being said, give us the year of your 340 and maybe we can get you the dimensions you need.
I can’t get near my boat at this time to measure it for you. It’s covered with 4 inches of snow and its own polar ice cap.
We are expecting some thawing later this week though.
In the mean time, JohnT has detailed it perfectly for you. Here are some pictures for you to look at also.
The table top thickness is 3/4 inches. With the top and bottom laminate it measures 7/8 inches thick.

If you are not a member already, there is a Facebook group just for Hunter 336/340 owners. Much like this forum it also has a wealth of knowledge about our boats. I do know there were some table discussions in the past. Hope this helps!
