Hello all,
I am replacing some of the portlights and have noticed the new grey enterprise shrouds are about 3\4" longer the than my current ones. Has anyone had to machine the new ports to match the previous ones?

When I swapped my original Grey portlights for the Beckson Rain Drains I had to trim them as did Don. After dry fitting with the trim ring on the outside I drew a line with a pencil all the way around them. I could hold them in my Black and Decker Work Table (Workmate). A couple of pieces of plywood stacked up was close to the line. That served as my guide for trimming with a Harbor Freight Multitool with a semicircular blade. I moved the plywood spacer all the way around for an even cut. A pass with a file cleaned up the edge. You have to experiment with the cutting speed and depth so the plastic doesn't end up melting.

Did all of mine a few years ago.
I set up a jig and used a router and milled them down, just needed a light sand.
In hind sight I would have taken off more so they did not stick out so far and may drain better.
Poor choice of port and bad design by Grey enterprises on the drains.
Cheers
