Just take it apart, replace the line and maybe the pulleys, re assemble, go sailing! I have mine apart as we speak and found the pulleys all in good shape. reeved new line with enough to take it back to the cockpit. The biggest challenge was to remove the screws for the end caps. I had to use an impact driver, to get them to move. One unfortunately twisted off. If you freeze the screw head with an fluid from a canned compressed air( used for cleaning camera), that can help.

Thanks for response. Am I correct its the goose neck endplate that has to be removed? Or both?

Outhaul and reefing rigging

Here's a diagram of the boom that's on my 34. I sort of shows the inside of the boom and how it works.
Hope this helps a little.

That diagram is for an isomat boom with jiffy reefing. If you have a Kenyon boom then it is somewhat different. I will take some pictures and post them here. And yes you need to take both end caps off to gain access to the parts. Cheers

Kenyon Out Haul

My apologies for taking so long to post photos. You probably have the job done by now! What you are seeing is the workings layed out on top of the boom as they sit inside it. There is a bolt that holds a bail on the outside and extends through the boom and the fixed end of the block system is held with this.
